So far, this is my favorite article written about whistling. It was written by Noel Coppage for the May, 1970 issue of Stereo Review. It covers a lot of the great whistlers from the advent of recorded music through the early 20th Century. Has whistling vanished? Is there less whistling now than there was 50 years ago?
